When Democrats took Congress in 2020, we did so because the American people trusted us to deliver for them. Looking back on everything we’ve accomplished, I can say that trust was rewarded with progress.
So far, we’ve delivered on funding our critical infrastructure, tackled inflation rates, enacted crucial gun violence prevention measures, and now, education affordability. All this progress was only possible because of our Democratic majority in Congress, but this November, everything we’ve accomplished is up for grabs.
With all the achievements made possible by our Democratic majority, it’s important to remember that these achievements are not set in stone.
If the GOP takes back Congress this November, their first priority will be to roll back everything we’ve accomplished so far. Even worse, the GOP will introduce new legislation to implement a federal abortion ban and take their radical anti-choice policies to the national level. Election Day is fast approaching, and we need all hands on deck if we’re going to prevent this GOP takeover from occurring.
It’s important to remember voting doesn’t just start on Election Day. With early voting starting soon, the window for us to reach undecided voters and maintain our Democratic majority is dwindling. We need as many resources as we can muster to protect our progress and fight back against the extreme measures the GOP wants to implement. But, John, I need your help to do that.
