There
has been no lack of newsworthy events in 2019. Some good, several hard, and too
many heartbreaking. Through it all, we have relied on each other to stay strong
and continue the fight.
We know the year ahead will have its share of fights. It will again be demanding, heartbreaking, and exhausting. We are up for the challenge, especially with so much at stake. But we can’t do it alone. We need the support of allies like you to fuel our mission. Please take a moment to donate to the National Center for Transgender Equality Action Fund so we can remain vigilant against the erosion of the rights trans people deserve.
Our
community has experienced a constant onslaught of hostile actions and continued
threats to our community from the political establishment, including President
Trump himself. He and his cronies have rolled back the policy protecting
transgender students, banned transgender people from serving in the military, and
removed critical protections for transgender people in prison. And they are not
done. Trans people still face removal of our protections in health care,
employment, and shelter access, among many others.
Enough is enough. We need you to join us now more than ever. With your support, we can expand our advocacy efforts and mobilize trans people to combat whatever they try to throw at us next—and every time.
