Weekend Service Impacts

* Weekend Construction Reroute [ [link removed] ] for *Routes 255, 271, ST 542, and ST 545*; Transit service will be rerouted in both directions off the SR 520 bridge from Friday, September 30 at 11 p.m. until end of service on Sunday, October 2;
* Event Reroute [ [link removed] ] for *Routes 208, 271, and ST 554*; Transit service will be rerouted during the Issaquah Salmon Days event from Saturday, October 1 start of service to Sunday, October 2 at 8 p.m.;
* Special Metro Shuttle [ [link removed] ] will operate during the Issaquah Salmon Days event;
* Event Reroute [ [link removed] ] for *Routes 45, 73, and 75*; Transit service will be rerouted during the University District Food Walk from Saturday, October 1 start of service until end of service;
* Weekend Construction Reroute [ [link removed] ] for *Route 10*; Transit service will be rerouted off of Grandview Pl E in Capitol Hill from Saturday, October 1 at 7 a.m. to Sunday, October 2 at 10 p.m.;

Service Reminders

* Take transit to all your sporting events in Seattle this weekend. Metro and Link Light Rail serves riders heading to T-Mobile Park, Husky Stadium, Lumen Field and Climate Pledge Arena;

* Mariners  [ [link removed] ]will be playing their last weekend of regular season games at T-Mobile Park. First pitches are scheduled for Friday at 6:40 p.m., Saturday at 1:10 p.m., and Sunday at 1:10 p.m.; 
* The OL Reign [ [link removed] ] have a match on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Lumen Field;

* *Seattle Center Monorail [ [link removed] ] *will operate late this weekend on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;

West Seattle Water Taxi and #773 and #775 shuttles are operating on the summer schedule [ [link removed] ] , offering midday crossings 7 days a week, plus late options Fridays and Saturdays;

On October 17, Water Taxi will transition to its winter schedule [ [link removed] ]. West Seattle Water Taxi to continue midday and weekend sailings through winter. The seven-day-a-week service will run from approximately 6 a.m. weekdays (8:30 a.m. weekends) to 7 p.m. 


* We recommend riders arrive at their bus stop a few minutes before the scheduled departure time of their trip.

SR 520 bridge closure this weekend to impact Metro routes

Starting 11 p.m. Friday, September 30, through end of service Sunday, October 2, both directions of SR 520 between I-5 in Seattle and 92nd Avenue Northeast in Clyde Hill and all associated on – and off-ramps.

Travelers should plan ahead and find alternate routes for trips across Lake Washington and southbound Interstate 5 in Seattle. Metro *Routes* *255, 271, ST 542, and ST 545* will be rerouted and not service all stops. Riders should prepare for delays as the temporary reroute may take longer.

Issaquah Salmon Days [ [link removed] ] have four Music Stages, a Carnival, Dock Dogs, Hundreds of Artist Booths, 60 food booths, Inflatables and you guessed it, salmon. 

*Routes *208, 271, and ST 554** [ [link removed] ] will be rerouted  during the event. A Special Metro Shuttle [ [link removed] ] will operate during the Issaquah Salmon Days event.

RapidRide C and D Line celebrates 10 years 

King County Metro – RapidRide C Line and RapidRide D Line began service on September 29, 2012! These two routes have carried millions of riders since connecting RapidRide service in West Seattle and Ballard to downtown Seattle.

SDOT extends deadline for Aurora Ave Survey

The deadline has been extended through next Friday on October 7. If you travel or live near Aurora Ave, please share your experience on the survey [ [link removed] ]. 

Project purpose


* Develop a new design vision for the Aurora Ave N corridor that enhances safety, mobility, and accessibility for all travelers. 
* Address the needs of residents, businesses, and corridor stakeholders in a unified vision for the corridor through an equitable and robust engagement process. 
* Consider collision history and safety challenges along the corridor with a focus on addressing the most serious collisions and collisions involving vulnerable road users.  
* Identify potential transit service improvements and connections (e.g., with nearby light rail stations), as well as safety and security improvements (e.g., at transit stops). 
* Develop a strategy to construct corridor improvements as resources become available

Starting Saturday 10/1, youth board for free as a result of this year’s Move Ahead Washington transportation package. Law applies only to youth riding as a vehicle passenger & walk-ons. It does not include teenagers behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.
