I didn’t want to email you tonight, friend, but I have no other choice after the last update from my team.

My finance director just told me that I'm WAY behind on my $150,000 FINAL FEC End of Quarter goal. We're running out of time to reach that goal, and I’m worried we have to make some tough decisions about our budget to mobilize voters and fight back against Rubio's deceitful attack ads. 

Does this worry me, friend? Absolutely. I MUST get ads on the air to counter Marco Rubio's lies about my law enforcement service. The TV ads cost me an arm and a leg – but it is a necessary risk if we want to flip Florida blue. I never anticipated donations to plummet over the past few weeks, when this team has had my back from day one. 

If donations continue to slow, I simply will not have enough resources to stay on the air. And with just a little over a month until Election Day, huge budget cuts could cost us this race and our opportunity to expand our Senate majority.
