Do you believe the U.S. is prepared to handle natural disasters effectively? Yes Select No Select The Continuing Resolution September 30th marks the end of our government's fiscal year, and once again they have gotten too close to the deadline and are risking a government shutdown, unless they pass the continuing resolution (CR) before the end of Friday. Passing a continuing resolution is lazy and bad governance. Instead of going through the standard appropriations process, Congressional Democrat's policies have kicked the can down the road. Here are just a couple of unnecessary things they are attaching to this legislation. $22.4 billion in COVID emergency funds, despite Biden declaring the pandemic is over. This is in addition to the $4.6 trillion we have already spent on the COVID pandemic. $3.9 billion on Monkeypox. There are only around 25,341 cases in the United States. While advertising they are avoiding a government shutdown, my colleagues on the other side of the aisle are quietly continuing their political charade. At the end of the day, this CR is a disservice to the American people, and I was a proud NO vote on it.
