Candidates with public service backgrounds – from educators to firefighters to veterans – know first-hand the real-life impact of policies and their direct work in strengthening their communities. That makes them uniquely qualified for public office.
But it also means that they can’t rely on personal wealth or connections in high places to fund their campaigns. Democrats Serve aims to fix that by supporting public servant candidates with resources and training, but we rely on grassroots supporters to help us.
That’s why I’m personally asking you to contribute before tonight’s FEC deadline so we reach our $50,000 goal.

From firefighters and first responders to social workers and educators to judges and public defenders – our candidates bring an invaluable and often underrepresented perspective to politics and policy.
Friday’s Federal Election Commission (FEC) reporting deadline is our last opportunity before the midterms to prove that supporting candidates in public service is a winning strategy for Democrats.
That’s why we’ve set an ambitious goal of raising $50,000 from grassroots contributions. Will you give $10 before the FEC deadline at midnight on September 30?

We endorse and support teachers because debates over education in Washington are enriched by politicians that have actually taught in the classroom.
We endorse social workers because they need a seat at the table when discussing mental health and drug dependence outreach.
We endorse candidates with law enforcement backgrounds because they bring expertise and lived experience to discussions about police budgets, police training, and police protocol.
Candidates with these backgrounds sometimes fall short in elections because they do not possess personal wealth or a strong donor network. That’s where Democrats Serve comes in, and we need your help.
