The Protect Act Will Aid Victims of Image-Based Sexual Abuse Against Big Porn

GROUNDBREAKING NEW LEGISLATION JUST INTRODUCED - THE PROTECT ACT!

NCOSE helped to draft this bill that will help millions of survivors of image-based sexual abuse while also striking the biggest blow yet at the pornography industry!

It only takes an instant for anyone to become a victim of image-based sexual abuse (IBSA).

It can happen through hidden cameras, deepfake/edited images, leaked nude photos, or filmed child sexual abuse, rape, or sex trafficking.

These images often circulate fast and are posted to pornography websites or other platforms, without the consent of the victim and often even before the victim realizes it has happened.

The PROTECT Act fills a gaping hole in legislation that allows all this to happen. You can learn more and take action to urge Congress to pass the PROTECT Act here.

Reuters: Brands blast Twitter for ads next to child pornography accounts

MAJOR ADVERTISERS CUT TIES WITH TWITTER!

Major advertisers including Forbes, PBS Kids, Dyson, and Mazda, suspended their marketing campaigns on Twitter because their ads appeared alongside tweets soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM, the more apt term for “child pornography”). A spokesperson from Forbes commented on Twitter’s CSAM problem, saying: “Twitter needs to fix this problem ASAP, and until they do, we are going to cease any further paid activity on Twitter."

The Reuters article cites research from cybersecurity group Ghost Data, which confirms that child sexual abuse material is prevalent on Twitter (we have of course known this and been raising the alarm about it all along!). In a 20-day period, Ghost Data identified more than 500 accounts that openly shared or solicited CSAM. Twitter failed to remove more than 70% of those accounts during the 20-day period.

Time's up for Twitter's flagrant disregard of child sexual abuse material!

The movement to fully decriminalize the commercial sex trade has been gaining momentum in recent years, with efforts to change policies in New YorkCaliforniaRhode IslandVermont, and Oregon

Women, men, and children being exploited in the commercial sex industry should not be arrested and punished for their own exploitation. Do you know how to make a strong case against this kind of full decriminalization? Educate yourself on 10 good reasons to oppose decriminalization of sex buying, pimping, and brothel keeping.

Sex Crimes Before Our Very Eyes

By: Benjamin W. Bull, Esqu.

I’ve always liked John Lennon’s 1971 anti-war song “Imagine”. A stirring melody, easy to hum. “Nothing to kill or die for…. A brotherhood of man.” Now let’s fast forward 52 years to the world of today and play Lennon’s imagine challenge. No music please.

Imagine you’re in the shower feeling completely safe. But you’re being secretly videotaped by a stranger with bad intent.

Imagine learning about the videotape only after your friends have told you that it’s been uploaded to an internet pornography site, where hundreds of thousands of voyeurs and creeps are watching it.

Imagine the videotape will likely remain on the internet somewhere forever.

Imagine your anger, rage, and humiliation.

Imagine you reach out to the website. Surely, they will pull it down once they learn it was secretly recorded by a creep and uploaded without your consent. And,

Imagine that the pornography site completely blows you off. No response.

Imagine this is not an imaginary dream but a living nightmare. Imagine it’s about you.

Sincerely,
