House Passes Lee and Ruiz's NDC-endorsed Bipartisan MOBILE Health Care Act
The House passed the Senate version of Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) and Rep. Raul Ruiz (CA-36)'s NDC-endorsed bill, S. 958, the Maximizing Outcomes through Better Investments in Lifesaving Equipment for (MOBILE) Health Care Act. This bipartisan legislation would expand access to health care by allowing Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to use New Access Point (NAP) grants for establishing mobile health units to increase access to affordable, quality health care in rural and underserved communities. The bill now heads to President Biden's desk for signature.
House Passes Two Connolly Bills that Prioritize Health of Federal Employees and Improve Government Cybersecurity
The House passed two bipartisan bills authored by Rep. Gerry Connolly (VA-11), the Chairman of the House Subcomittee on Government Operations. H.R. 8466, the Chai Suthammanont Healthy Federal Workplaces Act, puts employee health and safety at the forefront of government operations during a health emergency. H.R. 21, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Authorization Act, helps agencies adopt cost effective, secure, and nimble cloud technologies so agencies can serve the public anywhere at any time.
House Passes Ryan Bill to Expand Home Loans for Members of the National Guard and Reserve
The House passed Rep. Pat Ryan's (NY-19) bipartisan bill, H.R. 8875, the Expanding Home Loans for Guard and Reservists Act. This legislation extends VA home loans to more Members of the National Guard and Reserve to ensure each day in uniform counts for benefit eligibility and guarantees service members are treated fairly and receive the same benefits as active duty forces.
House Passes Pappas Bill to Improve Protections for VA Whistleblowers
The House passed Rep. Chris Pappas' (NH-01) bipartisan bill, H.R. 8510, the Strengthening Whistleblower Protections Act, which will improve the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) policies and procedures to better protect VA whistleblowers and investigate claims of wrongdoing.

Larsen Rides Amtrak Cascades as Service Resumes Between Seattle and Canada
Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) rode the Amtrak Cascades train from Everett to Stanwood to celebrate the return of Amtrak service to Vancouver, B.C for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Larsen supported the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which invests $66 billion over five years to renew and support long-distance and state-supported Amtrak routes like Empire Builder, Coast Starlight and Cascades.

Reps. Rick Larsen (WA-02) and Don Beyer (VA-08) introduced H.R. 8939, the Restoring Fulbright Exchanges with China and Hong Kong Act. This bill reverses the executive order signed by President Trump in 2020 that ended Fulbright exchanges both to and from China and Hong Kong.

Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-07) introduced H.R. 9009, the Federal Prison Oversight Act, bipartisan companion legislation to a measure introduced by Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) that would overhaul Federal prison oversight. This legislation was introduced as a response to Sen. Ossoff’s 10-month bipartisan investigation into the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). The House measure is co-led by Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-ND).
McEachin Introduces Bipartisan Legislation to Address Patient Safety Gap in Generic Drug Labeling
Rep. Donald McEachin (VA-04) introduced H.R. 9011, the Updated Drug Labeling for Patient Safety Act, bipartisan legislation to direct the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to allow generic drug manufacturers to update their product labeling with safety-related information. While brand-name drug manufacturers are permitted to update their product labels, generic manufacturers cannot independently update label information. This legislation will close this safety gap and improve health outcomes for more Americans.
