Hi John –

Have you seen the devastating news out of Florida? Millions of people are without power and thousands have lost everything due to catastrophic wind damage and flooding from storm surges as high as 18 feet.

And now Hurricane Ian is bearing down on South Carolina – where we have staff and volunteers – and other states along the East Coast.

Our sister organization, Save the Children, is on the ground in Florida gearing up to deliver essential items to families dealing with the aftermath of the storm.

Will you please help by rushing an emergency donation today to Save the Children’s Hurricane Ian Relief Fund?

John, Hurricane Ian struck Florida’s Gulf Coast yesterday, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Heavy rainfall, catastrophic winds and storm surges have caused life-threatening flooding, and over 2.5 million Floridians are now without power. Children in Florida urgently need your support.

Our emergency response teams are assessing the situation on the ground and beginning to respond. But they can’t do it without your support. That’s why we set an emergency $50,000 goal last night to ensure they have the resources and care they need at this critical moment, but we're already falling behind:

So please, will you rush an emergency gift right now to help children facing the devastating impact of Hurricane Ian?

Rush an emergency gift now:

We’ve been working all week to prepare for the storm, pre-positioning supplies to ensure our emergency response teams are ready to deliver essential, child-focused items to kids and families who need them most the moment it’s safe to do so. They’re also coordinating with state and national partners to assess children’s most urgent needs in the wake of this emergency.

With your support, we’ll remain in Florida as long as it’s needed to keep children safe and help them recover from this emergency. But we’re counting on dedicated champions for children like you to help power this lifesaving work: Please, will you rush a gift now to stand with kids impacted by Hurricane Ian and help ensure they have what they need to recover?

It means so much to know children in urgent need can count on you when it matters most. Thank you for standing with them, in moments of emergency and always.
