Tonight is the final FEC reporting deadline of this campaign before we face the voters in November, and I wanted to take a minute to express my gratitude. 

I want you to know how much your support means to me. When my family and I decided to take the leap and run for Congress last year, it was only after a lot of soul searching, long conversations with people I trust, and prayer. 

When it became clear that I needed to do this, I knew exactly why I was running: My friends, neighbors, and my community need someone in a position of power with integrity who cares about and works for them—who will put aside ego and personal ambition. But I wasn't sure how it all would take shape.

I felt perfectly suited for the job, with a passionate drive to win, make my constituents proud, and help restore some trust in our fragile democracy. Yet I wondered, and perhaps even worried, if I would have the broad grassroots support needed to be successful.

I quickly stopped wondering this. I know that you are there, and I know that we are building something great together. You have never let me down, and I wanted you to know that I truly appreciate you and see all that you do.
