Finally, I wanted to share our second TV ad, which started running this week!
The ad points to Casten’s history of self-dealing: raising taxes on working families, calling his salary “peanuts,” voting for congressional pay increases, and advocating and voting for a bill that would give large federal subsidies to a business in which he has significant financial investments.
The ad is Pekau’s second of the campaign. It features a constituent of Illinois Sixth Congressional district who discusses the impact Casten’s tenure in Congress has had on her family.

As we continue to expose the truth about Sean Casten, he is getting desperate. His campaign’s latest attack on me is full of false claims in an attempt to scare voters into re-electing him
Where are the fact-checkers when you need them?
The truth is that Sean Casten can’t run on his own record. He has used his seat in Congress to push for massive energy subsidies that benefit him and his family, and has done little to help the people of IL-06. In the past 3 years, Congressional Democrats and President Biden have walked the country into one unmitigated disaster after another - from Afghanistan, to the Southern Border, to our Supply Chain, to Energy. The economy is collapsing and crime is on the rise. He advocated and voted for the policies that have led us to this precarious point in our history. Moreover, Illinois Democrats - his own party - quietly put in place an anti-police, pro-criminal bill that is so dangerous it shocked the entire nation.
Casten also doesn’t want to talk about my record. As Mayor of Orland Park, we took a different path than the rest of the state and our economy has grown. Over 600 businesses have opened in Orland Park in the past 5 years. That means jobs for people in Orland Park. Crime has dropped to its lowest level in 27 years, because I prioritized working with law enforcement and keeping our citizens safe.”
So Casten has resorted to lying about my position. It’s the Democrat's playbook. They have governed so abysmally that their only hope is that they can scare enough people into believing their lies. It’s pathetic.
I don’t imagine he will quit this dishonest line of attack. He’s going to keep distorting my positions, and I am going to continue to tell the truth about him.

Press Release: US House Travel Disclosures Expose Casten as Climate Change Hypocrite
The Washington Free Beacon reported the House disclosures ([link removed]) on Sean Casten’s travel.
According to the report, “Sean Casten, who has called the climate ‘crisis’ a ‘code red emergency,’ flew roughly 6,000 miles and stayed in a luxury European hotel to fight global warming, House disclosures show… The trip saw Casten fly business class from Chicago to Reykjavík, Iceland, and back—a trek that totals 5,888 miles and more than 313,000 pounds of carbon, given that planes on average produce

“Casten, who is known ([link removed]) as Congress’s “fiercest climate hawk,” has said
([link removed]) members of Congress “have a duty to do everything we can” to provide “our children and grandchildren” with a “livable
planet.” In the case of his Iceland trip, however, Casten almost certainly did not need to travel thousands of miles on a gas-guzzling flight to meet with many of the climate “leaders” the Aspen Institute assembled…” Why not just use Zoom?
Sean Casten is funding a luxury lifestyle on the backs of working men and women. This report comes on top of his push

green energy company in which he is a stakeholder.
Mayor Keith Pekau, Casten’s opponent for the IL-06 congressional seat said, “Sean Casten is disingenuous and hypocritical on climate change. The only impact he has had in Congress has been on his own bottom line. The combination of Casten’s insolent self-dealing and Biden’s distressing incompetence has been a disaster. Suburban Chicago mayor Keith Pekau is among many critics of a new Illinois law dubbed the SAFE-T Act, which will, among many things, end cash bail in Illinois.
Republicans and Democrats have been sparring over the bill for years. Democrats say the law will reduce mass incarceration and will reduce the impact cash bail has on communities where access to money is limited. Republicans say the bill is too soft on crime and will lead to crime increases in cities such as Chicago.
Pekau, the mayor of south suburban Orland Park and the Republican candidate for Illinois’ 6th Congressional District seat, called the bill a “massive threat” and said Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is “living in a fantasy world” regarding crime in the city.

Keith’s Comment: 83 arrests and 47 convictions. Out on electronic monitoring by a Cook County judge. Wait until the SAFE T Act makes that mandatory for judges statewide.
The priority of government should be to keep law-abiding citizens safe, not to give criminals a free pass. Repeal the SAFE T Act now!
NY Post: Inflation has surged 13% since President Biden took office: economist
Headline inflation has jumped by more than 13% since Biden’s inauguration in January 2021, according to calculations by Peter C. Earle, economist at the American Institute for Economic Research. Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, increased by approximately 10% over the same period.
Wages, meanwhile, have risen just 8% over the same period — resulting in an effective pay cut for ordinary Americans who are struggling to pay for daily necessities such as food, gas and rent.
“American consumers are falling way behind. Inflation is a devastating blow to their standard of living,” Earle told The Post.
