?$11 Million in Grants Open to DC Housing Providers?
Hundreds of Washington, DC residents are expected to be able to stay in their homes, thanks to DC?s new $11 million Housing Stabilization Grants program. City First Enterprises (CFE)?s Social Equity Investments team is honored to partner with DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development John Falcicchio on managing this significant investment. It brings the total of CFE-managed grant funds to a powerful $100 million ? across more than 3,000 small businesses and housing providers ??and all in support of inclusive financial relief.?
The application opened on September 12 and closes on September 30, 2022.
In order to receive funds, applicants must absolve tenants of rent, fees, penalties, and interest accrued from October 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022.?

In cooperation with the Director of Serve DC ,?the Deputy Director? manages Serve DC's local and federal grant funds. The incumbent will be responsible overseeing the day-to-day management of federal grant funds and local funds, and work with program managers or designee(s) to improve the fiscal management of federal and local funds, develop tools that will assist them in their day to day responsibilities; ensure financial transparency; and align fiscal resources to support programmatic initiatives.
Board Position:?3-year Term on Serve DC's Commission for National and Community Service:?
Serve DC is looking for engaged residents to join the Commission for National and Community Service. The Commission's purpose is to encourage community service and volunteer participation as a means of community and state problem-solving; to promote and support voluntary citizen involvement in government and private programs throughout the District of Columbia; to develop a comprehensive vision and strategic plan for community service initiatives in the District of Columbia; and to serve as the District's liaison between national and other state organizations in concert with the District of Columbia strategic plan.?
Interested residents engaged in the nonprofit, youth, philanthropic, business, and labor communities are particularly encouraged to apply.?
