John,

At this point in the 2020 election, we weren’t certain about where our future was headed.

But we rallied, organized, and took action. Thanks to your energy and dedication to upholding progressive values, we raised over $100,000 to help President Biden defeat Donald Trump and his mission to send our country down a dark path.

We stepped up in a pivotal moment for our country and ushered in a new era of progress.

Now, we’re just weeks away from another generation-defining election, and we have to bring that energy to the fight once again. The stakes are different, but they’re still high.

While our Democratic majorities in the House and Senate have been tirelessly working to craft common-sense solutions to the most pressing issues facing our families and our planet, extreme conservatives have been laser-focused on rolling back decades of progress and fundamental rights.

We took a huge leap forward in the fight against climate change with the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest-ever federal investment in climate action that finally treats this crisis as the emergency it is. And we just defeated the dirty Joe Manchin “side deal,” which means (for a change) we achieved climate wins without having to accept more giveaways to the fossil fuel industry. The Inflation Reduction Act provides transformational clean energy tax credits, cost-saving clean energy incentives for working families, and expands health care subsidies and lowers prescription drug costs.

Democrats are making good on our promise to deliver positive change for working families.

This is significant progress, but we still have work to do. While we have defeated Senator Manchin’s dirty fossil fuel deal for now, we must remain vigilant against his constant efforts to help his fossil fuel industry patrons.

I have dedicated my work in Congress to being a leader on climate and the environment. There is no greater champion for bold climate action, transformative investments in clean energy, and protection of our natural resources. And I’m more committed than ever to uplifting my fellow Democrats who are in this fight with me.

NAME, our hard-fought progress is on the line in this election. The past two years have been a challenge, but they’ve shown us just how much we can accomplish together.

I hope I still have your support, John. Every campaign I have ever run has relied on dedicated grassroots supporters like you, and this year is no exception. If you can, will you make a contribution before tonight’s final quarterly FEC deadline of the election to help me continue fighting for policies that protect our environment and secure our future?

This moment requires us to step up, dig deep, and take action together. As always, thank you for your support.

Jared
