As Democrats fight to maintain our House majority, I wanted to introduce you to my friend, Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin. We were both elected to Congress back in 2018. She now represents Michigan’s 8th district, and is running to represent the new 7th district.

As a CIA analyst who served three tours in Iraq alongside the military, Elissa worked on some of our nation’s toughest security challenges, serving Presidents from both parties at the White House and at the Pentagon. In Congress, Rep. Slotkin has fought to lower the cost of prescription drug costs, protect Michigan’s Great Lakes, get corporate money out of politics, and bring manufacturing back to Michigan.

That’s not all – Elissa is the only Democratic member of Congress currently representing a district that voted for Romney in 2012, Trump in 2016, and Trump again in 2020. Now that Michigan’s district lines have been redrawn, she’s running in one of the top ten most competitive seats in the country.

Elissa’s race is the top target for national Republicans: they’ve already spent or reserved nearly $9 million in negative TV spending against her – it’s the most expensive House race in the country. That’s why I need your help to make sure she wins in November. To succeed in such a competitive seat, she’ll need resources to reach voters, recruit volunteers, and purchase advertisements to reach folks in a brand-new district.

The road to the House runs right through Michigan’s new 7th district. Which is why I’m asking if you will make a contribution today to Elissa’s campaign. We need to send her back to Congress so we can continue working together for the American people.
