I’m emailing you today to ask if you’ll add a contribution to my re-election campaign before our most important FEC deadline of the year.

The truth is: December is shaping up to be our worst fundraising month all year. Look at these numbers my team sent me earlier:

• Our total raised for December is 59.66% less than last month
• Individual grassroots donors decreased by half
• Just one out of every 32 people opening these emails make a donation

These are our real fundraising numbers, folks. We’re further behind than any of us expected to be at this point in the year.

If we can get just 3 more out of every 32 people to make a donation, our fundraising would soar and we’d be back on track to meet our end-of-year goal. So, I’m asking:

Folks: can you be one of those 3 people and make a donation of any amount toward my re-election campaign?
