Hurricane Ian made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane this week, leaving countless animals and people vulnerable in its path, with many reports of downed power lines and flooding already surfacing. Earlier this week, we urgently deployed our teams to help relocate over 50 cats from shelters in Fort Meyers and Tampa, Florida.
But our response to this storm has only just begun.
Now, as the storm continues its path, we are mobilizing our teams to respond to more requests for assistance in the Southeast. We have teams in Lee County, Florida, with boats and supplies to support animal search and rescue operations as we work with shelters across the impacted area to identify critical needs. As our work continues to unfold and we assess the community’s needs, we urgently need your help. |
