Goose Fair returns 30 September - 9 October 🎡

The Nottingham Goose Fair 2022 is open from 30 September at the Forest Recreation Ground and is free for all who wish to attend!

Colwick Country Park Access Improvements

Work is due to start on a new multiuser path to improve access into Colwick Country Park and improve existing paths within the park.

The scheme includes a new multiuser path adjacent to Racecourse Road; on an existing informal path through the park to improve pedestrian and cyclist access from the west and widening/resurfacing of the existing paths around the southern and eastern edge of the West Lake.

The park will remain open to users during construction and the works will be delivered in phases to minimise impacts to users. Works are commencing on Tuesday 20 September and are expected to last 18 weeks.

Price changes to Robin Hood cards and tickets

Some Robin Hood prices will change from Sunday 28 August 2022. This is due to cost pressures being faced by Robin Hood group operators, particularly fuel. Despite these pressures, the average cost increase is 1% and the maximum 4%, which is considerably lower than the current rate of inflation of over 10%.

Cards and tickets with price changes include:

  • Adult Season card
  • Adult PAYG fares
  • Flexible Days card
  • Adult on the bus tickets

Bus services🚌

There might be disruption to services due to driver availability issues. Please check service providers for the most up to date information. 

We’re excited that Trentbarton are going to be resuming operation of bus services from Broad Marsh Bus Station from Monday 3 October! 

Services serving the bus station will be: 

  • Bay 8 – mainline
  • Bay 7 – rushcliffe villager
  • Bay 6 – the cotgrave
  • Bay 5 – the keyworth
  • Bay 4 – Kinchbus 9
  • Bay 3 – skylink express
  • Bay 2 – skylink Nottingham

Rail services🚃

⚠🚨STRIKE ACTION🚨⚠

Rail strikes have been called between 1 - 8 October. Severe disruption is expected on strike days and the advice is to only travel by rail if absolutely necessary. Depending on the unions involved, the strikes days for certain operators differ. Please check your journey before travelling.

  • East Midlands Railway 
    • Services on 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 October impacted. See EMR's website for information.
  • Northern
    • No service 1, 5, 8 October with disruption expected on 2 and 9 October. See Northern's website for information.
  • Cross Country
    • No service on 1 or 5 October with a significantly reduced timetable on 8 October. Some services on 2 and 9 October will be affected. Please see Cross Country's website for information.
