I wanted to send you a quick note before the day got away from us to ask for your support.

We’re throwing out the old playbook here. We have seen it fail us too many times in North Carolina, so victory this November hinges on running a new kind of campaign for our state.

Republicans are rallying around my opponent because they’ve seen the same polls that we have. They see this race is in a dead heat, and they’re panicked. Truthfully, they thought North Carolina was a slam dunk. They weren’t prepared for us to run a new kind of campaign, and we are giving them the fight of their life.

But it’s our job to make sure we don’t slow down for even a moment in this final sprint to Election Day.

That’s why I’m personally asking you to contribute before tonight’s FEC deadline. Your donation today could be the reason we flip this seat and expand our majority in November.

One of the most important things I’ve learned running (and winning) statewide in North Carolina is it comes down to the margins. That was true when I won in 2014, and it was true in 2020 when 401 votes out of over 5 million decided my race for Chief Justice.

So we need to make sure we have the resources to fight for every vote in all 100 counties. Nobody gets left behind or forgotten, rural and urban, from the mountains to the coast. That is what you deserve from your United States Senator.

We will give a voice to everybody who shares our belief that a future where every single one of us has the chance to thrive is possible — if we fight for it.

And look, I don’t expect people to give every time we ask. But my hope is you take this request as an indication of just how important your support is. What we are counting on is that folks like you will donate when it makes sense for your budget.
