Dear john,
After roaring ashore as a Category 4 Hurricane and pummeling the state of Florida, now-Tropical Storm Ian is set to strengthen before making a second landfall on the South Carolina coast. Please join me in praying for all of those who are facing severe impacts from this storm. In advance of the storm’s second landfall, Governor Cooper has declared a State of Emergency for North Carolina. In North Carolina’s Ninth District, we will be facing heavy rains this Friday and into the weekend.
By Friday afternoon, tropical storm force winds could be gusting in communities south and east of the Charlotte metro, including in Anson, Mecklenburg, Richmond, Union counties in North Carolina. We are currently in a slight-moderate risk zone for flash flooding.
