If your email inbox looks anything like mine, these days it’s full of messages about the importance of tonight’s FEC quarterly deadline.

And it is important.  At this point, you don’t need me to tell you how and why it’s important — you’ve been hearing it from me (and others) for ages.  But I think this deadline is so particularly important because this election is so important.  

We are in the final stretch of this election cycle.  In just a few weeks, voters will head to the polls, here in Houston and across the country.  Everything we do from now until then will make all the difference in some incredibly close races, and in the future of our country.

We are doing all we can to help — to talk to voters in all the ways we can, and to get people to the polls.  And we couldn’t do it without you.

There are only a few hours left in the quarter and we’re so close to reaching our fundraising goal.  You can help make that happen!  Can I count on you to donate $7, $17, or whatever amount you can before today is over?
