Dear John,

I am so grateful for your support. Because of you, Children's Hospital Los Angeles
can remain at the forefront of research and clinical care that helps and heals sick
kids.

Our daily effort to make a difference in the lives of children
battling the most complex pediatric diseases, and who come to CHLA
from around Los Angeles and every part of the world, is sustained and
improved by the generosity of people like you.

Every gift you make, every card you send to patients, every kind word
you share about supporting CHLA-every one of them matters.

Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for your generosity. Thank you
for caring.

As 2019 comes to a close, I'd like to share the art and words of two
of our patients. I think they capture what this season is truly
about-peace, joy and family. I wish you all of those things now
and in the new year.

Peace on Earth

What Gives Me Comfort

Being with my family,
like the moon being with the sun.
Like the Earth being at peace,
like kids playing on its grass.
Like a flower,
drinking water from the Earth.

-Priscilla, age 14

On behalf of the children and families we serve, please accept our
sincerest thanks for your generosity and support.

Sincerely,

Alexandra Carter, MBA, CFRE

Senior Vice President and Chief Development
Officer
Children's Hospital Los Angeles

P.S. If you would like to help us continue caring for our youngest
community members in the year ahead, remember that your gift to the
Children's Fund will be matched through Dec. 31!
