So, why push VBM if more Dems get their ballots rejected? Why wouldn't we push them to vote in person?

  1. VBM creates a habit of voting. That means, more Dems vote year-after-year and that's fewer voters we have to do GOTV (and it's great for democracy!)

  2. Shenanigans with voting machines​ has been proven for years. And just yesterday, a poll worker was just charged with voting machine tampering

And no, there’s no causal relationship with the partisanship of county elected officials that we have found in the statistical significance in Dem voters having their ballots rejected more. This has happened in “red” and “blue” counties. It’s the kind of voters who tend to part of the Democratic party in New Jersey: having English as a second language.
