Today’s Action: Take action to help Hurricane Ian victims!
Hurricane Ian absolutely bludgeoned the Florida Gulf Coast this week, and, after momentarily losing strength as it moved inland, is once again gaining strength as it threatens to make a second, devastating impact on Georgia and the Carolinas. The category 4 storm has already caused historic, catastrophic damage, decimating entire towns, displacing hundreds of thousands of Floridians, and leaving millions more without power.
Some Florida communities were deemed unsurvivable — a grim testament to Ian’s record-breaking wrath. Aid organizations on the ground in Florida are in urgent need of donations to continue their ongoing relief and recovery work. Convoy of Hope is deploying teams and supplies to Florid. Covenant House is focusing specifically on assisting homeless youth. Check out the Florida Disaster Fund to find out other ways to contribute. If you aren’t in a position to donate financially, consider giving blood — the Red Cross is currently calling for donations en masse.
Our fellow Americans are hurting. Florida is in immediate crisis.
