You don’t get what you don’t fight for — and our team has shown the power of laying out bold ideas and fighting to make them a reality.

Take student debt cancellation. It started out as a new idea on our presidential campaign, and now that President Biden has taken historic action, it’s going to completely wipe out student debt for 20 million working-class and middle-class Americans, with lower balances for another 23 million.

Or a minimum tax on corporate profits over $1 billion. It started out as a new idea on our presidential campaign, and now that we’ve passed it in the Inflation Reduction Act, it’s going to stop giant corporations from paying $0 in federal income taxes while raking in huge profits.

There’s so much more to fight for, and so much more we can accomplish. With a Democratic House and two more Democratic senators, we can protect the right to abortion nationwide as early as January. We can defend the right to vote and the right to have that vote counted. We can go further to put Washington on the side of working families, including by expanding quality, affordable child care.
