It’s nerve-wracking... daunting, if I’m honest. But also? Important. Thrilling. Monumental. I'm senior counsel for the National Women’s Law Center and protecting and expanding reproductive rights and access to health care is my life’s work. I know — it’s unbelievable, and it’s wrong. Personal beliefs should never dictate patient care. That's why we set out to prove that the rule was unlawful and discriminatory. Our work in the courtroom tends to get into the news headlines, but it took an immense amount of hard work by many people to get our argument in front of a judge. And to win.
