Hi John.
I wanted to share some great news with you!
We just reached a crucial milestone for helping Kansans. And relatedly, our office was recently honored to receive a non-partisan award for our efforts to remain transparent and accountable with the Kansas Third District.
First, I’m pleased to share that our team has now helped recover more than $11 million owed to local taxpayers. We’ve also helped 4,324 hardworking Kansans.
That includes helping folks with stalled passports, veterans’ benefits, Medicare issues, and more. If you’re ever having an issue with any federal agency, we’ll do whatever we can to help you. And we’ll always connect you with any other resources and assistance that we can. We're here to serve you, regardless of party.
Do you need help? Please click here to visit davids.house.gov/help to learn more about how we can assist you. You can also call us in Overland Park at (913) 621-0832 or in KCK at (913) 766-3993.
Sharon is a member of our team and was glad to help folks recently at one of our Pop Up offices in Spring Hill. We hold Pop Ups around the Kansas Third District so we can more conveniently help you in your own neighborhood.
As I see it, my job is to serve you – no matter what. Whether we agree on every issue or not is beside the point.
Everyone deserves a government that works for them – not for special interests or big corporations. By fighting corruption and extremism across the political spectrum, I know it’s possible to make a difference for Kansas.
My mother served in the U.S. Army for twenty years. I learned so much about service, sacrifice, and dedication to country through her. After all our servicemembers and veterans have done for us, we must have their backs. That’s why we have a Wounded Warrior on our team and a Gold Star Fellow in our office. We’re here to help with backlogged benefits, VA health care issues, and more.
I’m here to serve every person and corner of our community to the best of my ability.
Representatives have to be available to the people they serve if we’re going to restore faith in our democracy. That’s why I’ve also made it clear to my team that we should be as accessible and transparent as possible.
It's important to me that we keep open clear lines of communication. That includes updates on how we can help people, opportunities to share feedback and constructive criticism, and what I’m doing to serve the Kansas Third District.
This is a top priority of mine – so my team and I were especially honored to receive a Democracy Award for these efforts from the non-partisan Congressional Management Foundation.
The Democracy Award for Transparency and Accountability is provided to only one Republican and one Democrat throughout the House and Senate. Listening to your concerns and brining your voice back to Washington is a core part of my job.
The Congressional Management Foundation is a non-partisan organization that’s dedicated to strengthening the legislative branch as a democratic institution. They’re here to help members of congress in both parties do a better job of serving their constituents. And prior to receiving the award, they conducted a rigorous review of our office’s operations.
Staying in touch, and being accountable to you, is very important to me. That's why we pass along regular updates via email and on social media, answer your questions on our Calls with your Congresswoman, ask for your feedback in surveys to hear your concerns, and so much more.
In fact, our office has now processed more than 400,000 messages from folks across the Kansas Third District. It’s always great to hear from you and answer your questions.
It’s an incredible honor to serve you in the U.S. House of Representatives.
I was raised by a single mom who served in the Army and at the Postal Service. I later worked my way through college while juggling multiple jobs. I’m serving you in the House is to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington – where everyone is heard and given respect.
