John -
How we do ahead of tomorrow’s FEC deadline has enormous implications for North Carolina’s Senate race and Democrats’ chance of expanding the majority.
After this deadline, we will sit down to look at the numbers and make some of the most important spending decisions of the entire race. Our budget for the final month will determine which investments we can make.
So I’ll be blunt: We’re not on track to hit the number I have in my budget right now. We came up short of our projection last week, and now we have been working overtime to make up that ground AND hit this week’s even bigger goal.
That’s no reason to panic. We still have time to get there, but we have to all come together to make these next 24 hours the best fundraising day our campaign has ever had.
With a new poll this week showing us tied with Ted Budd at 46%, every dollar absolutely makes a difference.
That’s why we approach every decision on this campaign with the mindset that the final margin will be as close as Cheri’s race for Chief Justice in 2020 — 401 votes.
So far, our strategy is working. DC pundits are stunned by how competitive this race is, and we’re within striking distance of a historic victory. So my hope is that we don’t have to scale anything back when we need to be ramping up.
Please know that your support means the world to Cheri, and everything you are doing to help us win will have an enormous impact on the future of our state, nation and democracy.
Appreciate, y’all!
