Nate here, Mike’s finance director. I wanted to check in with you and give a very transparent update on where things stand before tomorrow’s FEC deadline — our final quarterly deadline of the election.

We set a goal of raising $100,000 in online donations this month. We’re getting close, but we’re roughly $30,000 shy of that mark.

If you can, please chip in a donation before midnight. Any amount helps, but $3 from you would go a long way in helping us meet this critical goal.

There are at least three reasons why this deadline is especially important.

>> This is the final FEC deadline before voters receive their ballots and begin to pick their candidates. We need a strong showing to make it clear that Mike has a formidable base of grassroots support.

>> This election will be the first in the newly-redrawn 49th District. Many new residents are voting for Mike for the first and need to be made familiar with his accomplishments and track record. We can’t assume this will be an easy victory.

>> It’s critical that we counter the baseless attacks being hurled at Mike from his self-funding opponent and the far-right super PACs lined up behind him. Doing that takes resources.

Before tomorrow’s deadline, chip on whatever you can to help re-elect Mike and keep CA-49 blue in November.
