John, Gov. Youngkin is courting Republican mega-donors again, ahead of a potential 2024 bid for the White House. He is set to host an exclusive “Red Vest Retreat” this week for early supporters, a reference to his wardrobe favorite.

Establishment Republicans are desperately looking for an alternative to Trump and DeSantis in 2024, and we don’t blame them, but Youngkin is no better. Our half-term governor supports a radical Trump/DeSantis agenda and kowtows to right-wing goons like Arizona’s Kari Lake.

We need to make sure Youngkin sees his harmful agenda blocked at every turn. But, to do that, we must elect Hala and expand our critical Senate majority. We are getting close to hitting our $2,000 end-of-quarter goal and being able to finance our campaign, but we need your help closing the gap. Can you chip in $5 today?

This is just one more instance of Youngkin laying the foundation of a bigger campaign instead of focusing on the office he currently holds. He sees himself as a rising star, as do his rich friends. Unfortunately, though, he doesn’t see Virginians at all.

While Youngkin is weighing his opportunities and cultivating his national stardom, Virginians are in desperate need of real leadership. We know Youngkin and the GOP can’t provide that, so we need to step up and send Hala to take over Richmond.
