Hey, it’s Megan, Maura’s finance director.

Today is the final fundraising reporting deadline before voting starts, and our digital team asked me to write an email to all of you. Unfortunately, this is one of the busiest days of the year for me, so this is going to be very short. (sorry for that, it’s always hectic when working up against a deadline)

The update — we’ve had a ton of new first-time donors lately, which is great. This is when we lock in our budget for the final sprint. What we raise by the end of this quarter allows us to be as smart as possible in planning our strategy. Donations are always good, but when we're able to get them in now, they have maximum impact.

So, to all of our new donors: Thank you, and welcome to the team. We’re so glad to have you on board.

For folks who haven’t chipped in yet: We’re still a few thousand short of where we’d like to be. If this email gets a decent number of small donations or a few big ones, we’ll hit our goal, which would be a big help. I asked our digital team to insert one of those “donate” buttons underneath this, so you should be able to click there to chip in.
