Team, I know you’ve gotten quite a few emails from us in the past few days and you might be wondering, “What’s the big deal with this FEC fundraising deadline anyway?” Well, I’m going to tell you.

But, if you already know just how crucial reaching this goal is to our chances of winning, you can skip this email and chip in $15 or more to help us reach our end-of-quarter goal.

Every quarter, the FEC requires campaigns to submit reports of their finances – including how much they’ve raised so far. And because these are made public soon after, a majority of campaigns use these reports as opposition research.

What makes them a vital part of opposition research? It’s because a campaign’s fundraising capabilities show whether or not they have momentum behind them. And if we fall short of showing that we can hold our own – the GOP will smell blood in the water.

That means: millions more than expected funneled into this race to attack Susie Lee, helping far-right April Becker campaign across all corners of this district, and putting an even larger spotlight on flipping this seat so Republicans can retake the House majority.

If we can’t reach this end-of-quarter goal, we’ll be in serious trouble.

Thankfully, we’ve made significant progress since Susie first launched our $21,750 goal a few days ago. But, we still have a ways to go to raise what we need to end September in a strong spot and show the GOP that we’re tough as nails.
