News from Representative Larson

Dear Friends,

I worked in Congress to pass the Inflation Reduction Act to lower prescription drug costs, health care premiums, and energy bills.

Are you a senior who pays more than $2,000 each year for prescription drugs?

What will it mean for you when insulin is capped at $35 per month?

I want to hear from you!

Please share your story about what the Inflation Reduction Act means for you here.

Here are some highlights from the Inflation Reduction Act:

Prescription Drugs

  • For the first time ever, Medicare will be empowered and required to negotiate drug prices, driving down costs.
  • Seniors will have their out-of-pocket prescription drug costs capped at $2,000 per year.
  • Medicare recipients will have their insulin costs capped at $35 per month.

Health Care:

  • No one will pay more than 8.5% of their income on their health insurance premiums.
  • A family in CT-01 with two adults, two children, and a household income of $75,000 could save $2,832 on their premiums next year.
  • Recommended adult vaccines covered under Medicare Part D, like the shingles vaccine, will be covered at no cost.

This landmark legislation is going to make real change in Americans’ everyday lives, saving money and ensuring our seniors no longer must cut pills in half to make ends meet. To follow what I’m working on both in Washington and in Connecticut, visit my Facebook page, follow me on Twitter, or follow me on Instagram
