Let me break it down: Every three months, we’re required by federal election law to report how much money we’ve raised. September marks the final end of quarters deadline ahead of Election Day.
This is both an internal and external marker for our campaign. We’re making final advertising decisions as we head into the last weeks of the race. But the number we report also sends a signal to outside groups who are supporting our opponent. A strong number can dissuade last minute ad buys.
John, there’s still so much work to be done and I’m ready to continue leading the fight to lower costs for families and hold corporations accountable. I’m so thankful for your support as we head into this final stretch!
