I know you’re getting a lot of emails but I want to ask if you can make your first contribution of the year to my re-election campaign -- I also want to make sure you saw the latest on our anti-choice opponent. 

Paul DeGroot held a news conference last week where he was asked, “should states be allowed to ban abortions with no exceptions whatsoever?” 

His answer? “You got it.” 

Don’t let DeGroot fool you. He’s an extremist who thinks states should be able to ban abortion even in cases of rape, incest, and when a woman’s life is in danger. He said that the Supreme Court was right to overturn Roe v. Wade.

As a Navy veteran, I’ve taken multiple oaths to defend our freedoms, and in Congress I won’t stop fighting to restore Roe v. Wade and protect access to reproductive care. 

I’m counting on your grassroots support to defeat our anti-choice opponent this November. Please chip in before the FEC deadline tomorrow night.
