Dear Friend,

Last week, the German parliament passed a resolution that calls on the German government to ban the activities of the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah in Germany. The move, hailed by others as "significant" and a "crucial step," was exposed in an exclusive report by Gatestone Senior Fellow Soeren Kern as being both non-binding and falling far short of a complete ban on Hezbollah. The German resolution appears aimed at providing the German government with political cover that would allow Germany to claim that it has banned Hezbollah even if it has not. Kern adds that at the same time, the German government has become a leading proponent of anti-Israel resolutions at the United Nations. Germany's UN Ambassador, Christoph Heusgen, has been ranked by the Simon Wiesenthal Center as one of the top ten global anti-Semites of 2019, due to his obsession with Israel at the UN.

This is just one example of how Gatestone, with your help, works daily to research and report on the implications, both short- and long-term, of the policies of our governments -- and how we inform the public about what the media does not report with any honesty -- on issues such as mass migration, multiculturalism, threats to freedom of speech, Iran's nuclear weapons ambitions, the persecution of Christians, coercion on campus, and the rise of sharia law, censorship and jihadist terrorism in the West.

As 2019 comes to a close, we at Gatestone would like to thank again all our extraordinary supporters who have been so generous to us. Without your help, our critical work would not be possible. If you have not yet donated, please do make a U.S. tax-deductible contribution today, to help us continue the vital work of Gatestone's experts and authors -- so you will be among the our many readers who know what the media do not want you to know!

With warmest thanks,

Nina Rosenwald
