With just over 24 hours before our midnight fundraising deadline, we wanted to share a sneak peek into our ActBlue fundraising:
That’s our average contribution during the month of September. Our grassroots movement is built on thousands of individuals like you pitching in $15.24 or whatever you can afford, whenever you can. And the fact that we’re able to raise as much as we do just one $15.24 donation at a time is a testament to the size and strength of the movement we’ve been building since Alexandria’s election in 2018.
Grassroots donors put her in Congress, and grassroots donors keep her there. Your support made it possible for Alexandria to introduce the Green New Deal, fight for student debt cancellation, win funeral assistance for families across the country, and so much more.
But our next test is raising $150,000 before the end of the month. It’s been a slower fundraising pace than we expected in September. But if we can reach that goal, we’ll be in good shape to fund the work necessary to win AOC’s re-election on November 8.
We divided up what we need to raise and our typical contribution size. If we can get just two more people from the 19125 area to chip in, we’ll hit our goal. What do you say? Can you make a $15.24 donation — or whatever you can afford — now to be one of the two supporters from the 19125 area?
