 The Shellfish and Stormwater Strategic Initiative Leads (SILs) are excited to announce two new funding opportunities for programs, activities, and lines of work that advance Puget Sound recovery and protection!
These initial funding opportunities for FFY2021 and 2022 EPA Puget Sound Geographic funds will be solicited through two competitive Request for Proposals (RFPs), see below:
Shellfish SIL RFP to reduce fecal pollution to increase harvestable shellfish acreage in Puget Sound:
- This Shellfish RFP Solicitation will be open for 8 weeks, applications are due November 22, 2022, by 11:59pm PST.
- Shellfish has up to $5.5 million to award.
- Investment Priorities include Pollution Identification and Correction (PIC), Onsite Sewage System (OSS) Management, and livestock manure management related work.
Stormwater SIL RFP for public road retrofit planning by local jurisdictions around Puget Sound:
- This Stormwater RFP Solicitation will be open for 6 weeks, applications are due November 9, 2022, by 11:59pm PST.
- Stormwater has up to $2 million to award.
- Investment Priority is public road retrofits planning by Local Jurisdictions.
Eligible applicants include Native American Tribes; state, and local agencies; nonprofit organizations; private academic institutions; and public universities and colleges.
