John,
It's no coincidence that after Black voters showed up in record turnout to elect Rev. Raphael Warnock -- Georgia Republicans immediately tried everything in their power to rush to pass waves of new laws to suppress our votes.
Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock said it best in his first floor speech in the Senate:
"We are witnessing right now a massive and unabashed assault on voting rights unlike anything we have seen since the Jim Crow era. This is Jim Crow in new clothes."
John, it's on us to fight against those who would undo decades of our ancestors' work to secure our right to vote. Senator Rev. Raphael Warnock is once again in a high-stakes election, now against a Trump-endorsed opponent.
That's why we're keeping BLM PAC going -- so we can defeat elected officials up and down the ballot who try to silence our voices by suppressing our votes and support those who will always fight for the most fundamental right of our democracy.
Will you chip in $5 or whatever you can afford to BLM PAC as we work to protect voters from sinister politicians?

Here's a fraction of what Georgia Republicans have tried to get away with:
- Ending no-excuse absentee voting -- which is how 1.3 million Georgians were able to vote by mail in 2020.
- End automatic voter registration -- which 5 million out of the state's 7.6 million voters have used to register since it began in 2016.
- Cut weekend early voting days -- commonly used by Black churches for "Souls to the Polls" get-out-the-vote drives.
- Restrict the use of mail ballot drop boxes.
- Add new voter ID requirements for mail ballots.
- Reduce the time election officials have to send out mail ballots and voters have to return them.
- Make it a crime to distribute food and water to voters waiting in line.
These are yet
another set of white supremacist attacks on the very foundation of democracy -- our vote as our voice. Instead of listening to Black voters, Republicans in Georgia are silencing our voices by taking away our rights.
That's why we must remember that there is no such thing as an "off-year" in elections when it comes to electing people dedicated to ending white supremacy and protecting the ballot box. We'll fight for our votes and our democracy.
The fight is just beginning, John,. Chip in $5 or whatever you can for the 2022 electoral battle against white supremacy >>
In love and solidarity,
