Dear John, The Texas Campaign wishes you a happy and healthy holiday season! We’re so grateful to work in a community that is dedicated to removing barriers that prevent Texas teens from achieving their full potential. This year, the Texas Campaign envisions a future where every young Texan has access to the information and resources needed to prevent unintended pregnancy. Your support is critical to advancing that work. In honor of our 10th anniversary, we set a lofty goal to raise $10,000 in individual gifts and we are almost there.

The Texas Campaign has achieved some pretty remarkable milestones over the last ten years. We have…  Trained over 4,000 youth-serving professionals and hosted nine statewide symposiums; Set in motion a comprehensive statewide legislative strategy; and Launched a collaborative project to guide and support public health centers providing increased and enhanced youth-friendly health care services across Texas.

These examples showcase how the Texas Campaign develops innovative, collaborative, and sustainable solutions by ensuring communities understand the connection between teen pregnancy, maternal and childhood health and wellbeing, educational achievement, the poverty cycle, and the broader Texas economy.

This year alone was exceptional! We...

Grew our staff to six full-time professionals; Began an in-depth research project that will support the expansion of contraceptive coverage in CHIP; Launched a cross-sector partnership addressing pregnancy prevention and parenting supports for Houston-area foster youth; Explored ways to improve the quality of sex education statewide; and Established an exciting and powerful social media presence.
