It doesn't feel right to continue our campaign as usual today.

Right now our fellow Americans in Southwest Florida are hurting. Hurricane Ian is causing mass devastation. The damage has been characterized as "historic."? Entire cities are being destroyed. And lives are likely being lost.?

I also want to thank the first responders who are answering the call of duty and saving lives. We owe you all a tremendous debt.?

Some moments are bigger than politics. We need to come together now and support our fellow Americans who are losing everything.?

If you have friends or family who are affected by the hurricane, please connect them with local outreach groups. This is the best and most effective way to aid survivors. I also encourage all of you to donate to local charities and relief organizations.?
