Elissa just launched a brand new ad! This ad highlights her opponent’s dangerous position to ban all abortions, with no exceptions for rape, incest, or even those terrible moments during a miscarriage. Check it out:

This ad is already on screens in the new 7th district and it features Dr. Renee Horowitz, an obstetrician-gynecologist. In the ad, Dr. Horowitz says that it’s her duty to inform her patients about risks to their health, saying:

"Tom Barrett is a risk to all Michiganders. He wants to ban all abortions; no exception for rape, incest, or those terrible moments during a miscarriage. Barrett even wrote a bill to prosecute doctors. 

"It’s dangerous—and it’s just heartless.”

To recap, Elissa's opponent has:

• endorsed Michigan’s 1931 abortion ban
• sent out fundraising messages that said he was “100% Pro-Life – No Exceptions” 
• joined Republicans in the state legislature to try to reinstate the 1931 ban
• and even introduced legislation that would further criminalize doctors who perform abortions, even in cases of rape and incest.

He also made national news in late August for his efforts to hide his support for a total ban on abortion. He scrubbed his website of all abortion-related information, claiming when asked that women’s personal freedom is not what’s “most salient right now.” 

Then, during his debate with Elissa, he refused to acknowledge that he doesn’t support exceptions for rape and incest—a moment that earned over 150,000 views on social media.

We couldn’t agree with Dr. Horowitz more: that stance is dangerous, and it’s just heartless.
