So many women who have abortions feel pressured to do so and are silenced when they feel regret.
Hi John,
So many women who have abortions feel pressured to do so and are silenced when they feel regret.
At 15 years old, Serena came face to face with this pressure in her own home.
From the beginning, Serena wanted her baby. Although she felt embarrassed and fearful about her situation, she never considered abortion as an option.
Her parents argued, begged, and even threatened violence to compel Serena to agree to an abortion. After weeks of torment, physically exhausted from her pregnancy and emotionally exhausted, Serena relented to her parent's wishes.
In the months after her abortion, Serena grieved alone. For years she suffered from anxiety, depression, loss of appetite, substance abuse, and suicidal thoughts.
Her parents had honestly believed that having a baby at 15 would be devastating to their daughter and her future.
But Serena is speaking out today to share the truth: abortion stole and robbed a precious human being - her own child - who should have been part of her life. And that's something she can never change and never get back.
Watch her story now:
For too long, the media has white-washed post-abortive women’s experiences and denied abortion regret. The media wants us to believe that choosing death is empowering, yet it is quite the opposite. Serena’s story is one of many millions of men and women who grieve their children lost to abortion.
We must spread these stories to expose the truth: abortion is a horrific act of violence against the preborn child which scars both parents with emotional and social trauma. Stories like Serena’s have the power to usher in healing and peace for mothers and fathers wounded from abortion and to save innocent children whose lives hang in the balance.
After you watch her story, I encourage you to share her story with 5 people you know, and encourage them to do the same.
