I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you need to know this: 

At the end of this week, Trudy Busch Valentine's and my campaign face a critical FEC fundraising deadline, and right now we're projecting to come up short of our goals. 

Falling short at this point in the election could have a catastrophic impact on our ability to win this race. I don't mean to alarm you, but that's the truth. 

I'm trailing Ron Johnson by 1 point in the latest polls, and his dark-money groups are pouring absurd amounts of money into Wisconsin to try to buy this seat. 

The only thing standing in their way is this grassroots team. That's why I really need you to chip in before tomorrow's FEC deadline, so I'm asking: 

Can you please split a $5 contribution between my campaign and Trudy Busch Valentine's before midnight tonight? I am really hoping I can count on you today.
