Hi, it’s Charles Booker, Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Kentucky against Rand Paul.
Conventional wisdom holds that Kentucky is a ‘red state’ and that there’s no point for Democrats like me even to try to win in the upcoming midterms.
I reject this view. And I want to tell you why:
Kentucky is an ignored, exploited, disrespected, disenfranchised, and unorganized state.
Kentuckians do not want big government abortion bans, cuts to their health care and social security, and a low minimum wage that can’t keep up with their basic needs.
Kentuckians oppose Rand Paul’s policies. And it’s time he was held accountable for taking our Commonwealth for granted.
I’m running for Senate to give the people of Kentucky a clear choice in this election. So today, our team is setting a goal of raising $25,000 before midnight on Friday, September 30th. Will you pitch in $20 or more to help us reach our goal?
If we can demonstrate real momentum, we’ll have a real electability case to make to Democrats, Independents, and disaffected Republicans here in Kentucky.
