Folks, I know most fundraising emails make your inbox look something like this these days:

I can’t STAND emails like these.

They can often be exploitative and misleading.

I’ll be clear: This campaign will never stoop to these shady tactics. Our team is committed to treating you and your fellow supporters with respect.

We’ll never employ shady tactics to get you to make a donation and we’ll never ask for a dime unless we need it.

Listen, right now we’re not in danger of “completely imploding” (to borrow a line that’s probably in your inbox) if you don’t donate an oddly specific $6.87, so don’t feel pressured into doing so.

But, we are going head-to-head with one of the most well-funded Republicans in Congress, and we need to work twice as hard to beat him. So if you can spare $1, $5, or even $10 to help our campaign take him down, our campaign will be so grateful.
