I wanted to explain why this number is so important and why my team and I are so proud of it. When I announced my candidacy to take on GOP Sen. David Perdue in Georgia, I knew it wouldn’t be easy.

Perdue has accepted more than $2,500,000 from corporate PACs, and he has the backing of Mitch McConnell and the President (to the point they even go golfing and attend sports games together!).

But I still pledged to run a campaign that disavowed corporate PAC money; one that was powered by everyday people. Our average online donation of $23 is proof of that.

And I promised to get my message out to each and every one of Georgia’s 159 counties. I firmly believe that it is we, the American people, who decide elections -- not PACs and dark money groups who are accustomed to purchasing Senators like Perdue to do their bidding.

More than just the balance of the Supreme Court and control of the Senate is on the line in 2020. The integrity of our democracy and the future of our country is on the line, as well.

Right now, polling shows Democrats within single digits of Perdue. McConnell and national Republican groups have already attacked me repeatedly because they know we have what it takes to win.

Let’s send a message to Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and David Perdue: Match our average online donation of $23 on the 23rd and let’s reclaim our democracy. [[link removed]]
