EDC Democrats: Our Impact

Canvass

Our members out and about supporting Mike Barkley's Coffee & Canvass event last Saturday, Sept 24th.

Upcoming canvassing opportunities for Tim Robertson located below in our Candidate Corner.

Phone Bank

The last couple of years have left us without the option to meet or gather, and many of us are eager to get back to doing things in person, like door-to-door canvassing. While we all know that door knocking is great, you might be surprised to learn that phonebanking is also extremely useful when it comes to persuading, educating, and recruiting people.

Here are four reasons why we believe phonebanking is a reliable method for supporting our work -- check out the full list below, and then make sure to RSVP now for an upcoming phonebanking party (or two!) and help us do the work to win this November!

Dr. Kermit phone bank times are in our Candidate Corner below.

Kermit campaign volunteers have made 33,000 calls to date!

Donate

Let's keep the momentum going:

12 more recurring donors needed!

Recurring donations are the lifeblood of our organization, allowing us to keep the virtual doors open and work on the day-to-day operations year-round. Our goal for September is to have 20 new donors who promise a certain amount each month to the work of EDCDCC. We have eight so far. It can be any amount, small or large. Please consider being a regular contributor and help us serve the local community by getting Democrats elected up and down the ballot.

Note: Your donations help us in many ways including communications. The slate developed above is an example of how your contributions make a positive impact!

Dr. Kermit Jones is running in an open seat that is considered one of the most competitive in the country. It is on the 'Red to Blue' list, which means that a good Democratic candidate can flip this seat. Kermit is that candidate! This seat will help us maintain control of Congress.

We use an automatic dialer, which means you do not have to spend time dialing the numbers. Training will be provided, and in no time you will be an expert on the system and on Dr. Kermit!

RSVP so we know you will be joining us!

Presentation will be both in-person and online.

Join us on October 5 to learn about No on Prop 27.

Prop 27 legalizes online sports betting. Out-of-state corporations would get 90% of the profits leaving little to fight homelessness, and directly attacks the sovereignty of CA Native American tribes.

Dialysis patients deserve protection under the law. Prop 29 will help ensure they receive safe treatment in dialysis clinics under the care of a doctor or another highly trained clinician in case of emergencies, without risk of infection, and without discrimination

The California Democratic Party leads the nation’s largest Voter Protection effort, composed of attorneys, poll workers, and dedicated Californians who all work to make voting easier and more inclusive.

As a volunteer with CADEM’s Voter Protection Team you have the choice to become a Voter Protection Resource Hotline Operator (remote around the state) or Poll Monitor (in-person).

Having a strong, diverse team of volunteers who can answer questions and offer assistance is essential to making sure every single Californian can cast their ballot with confidence.

South Lake Tahoe Democratic Club

Our major effort this election cycle will be to distribute slate cards and voter information to 5000 democratic homes in South Lake Tahoe. (Democrats make up 55% of BOS5 so this is a good strategy).

Many thanks to Lora Watts for coming up with a great design for our slate cards!

We will be running a full-page ad in the October issue of the Mountain News.
