Over the years, the PolicyLink Board of Directors has played a critical role for the organization, offering guidance and thought partnership at every opportunity. Ensuring that all people, particularly those who face the burdens of structural racism, can participate in a flourishing multiracial democracy and prosper in an equitable economy.
Our board is not only the governing body of our organization, but collectively — through their wisdom, voice, and experience — they play a unique and active role in advancing the equity movement and supporting the culture, integrity, and strategic direction of PolicyLink.
Under the board’s leadership, PolicyLink has accomplished so much, including supporting the launch of the National Equity Atlas

— the first-of-its-kind data and policy tool for community leaders and policymakers who are working to build a new economy that works for all. The board was also instrumental in the design and implementation of key initiatives like the Promise Neighborhoods Institute, which provided key support to the Obama’s Administration efforts in building a cradle-to-career pipeline of education, health, and social supports to create communities of opportunity for children and their families. And now, the board is a champion for our current work and committed to advancing our racial equity governing agenda

As we settle into the fall season — looking forward to the next phase of our work and the impact we seek — we must confront the reality that Winning on Equity requires addressing structural, political, and cultural barriers that have held back this nation. It is with the PolicyLink Board of Directors and our talented staff, along with civil society leaders, government agencies, corporate power, and this bold network of advocates, that we can truly redesign this nation so that it works for all and realizes the promise of equity.
