At its heart, How I Met Your Mother was about love and family. Not necessarily the family you were born into, but the ones we choose.
It was about people who loved each other and took care of each other. It was also about resilience and believing in something bigger than ourselves. It’s no accident that both the character (Ted Mosby) and the actor who played him (me) are from Ohio.
I love being from Ohio. It was a great place to grow up and I always love coming back. I still consider it ‘home.’
The people of Ohio are great: hard-working, unassuming, kind, and compassionate. Ohioans deserve a Senator who models those qualities and will produce real results. Tim Ryan is the man for the job.
His opponent—let’s be honest—is an ambitious shape-shifter who will say whatever he can to get elected.
He’s absent any sense of guiding or ethical principles other than a quest for power. And he’s beholden to a party that has abandoned any pretense of believing in democracy, that every voice and vote matters.
Ohio can do better. Ohio deserves better.
So much is on the line in this election. Ohio might very well determine which party has control of the Senate. I’m asking you to join me in supporting Tim Ryan’s campaign by making a donation of whatever you can to help him pull ahead and win this important race.
Together, we can repair what’s broken—but only if we fight for it.
Thank you, Josh Radnor
