Hey friends — Recently, I had the opportunity to tour New Haven’s Coast Guard Station alongside my good friend, CT-03 Representative Rosa DeLauro.

The tour was breathtaking and informative, and best of all I got to meet some of the brave men and women who keep our coastal waters safe.

During this visit, we discussed the vital missions of the Coast Guard, and took a quick tour of New Haven Harbor. I even got to drive the boat for a bit – let’s just say our country’s Coast Guard professionals are a little better at this than I am!

There are countless people who call Connecticut home, and I was so grateful to meet just a few of the men and women who serve our country with dignity and excellence.
